THE NEXTT& COUPLE OF SLIDES TO SHOW YOU THE PROCESS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES. IT'S A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECT THROUGH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. THE FIRST WAS A PRELIMINARY APPLICATION, WHICH THE CITY SUBMITTED TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. THEY REVIEWED THAT APPLICATION TO DETERMINE IF THERE WERE ANY FATAL FLAWS IN THE PROJECTS AS PROPOSED. AND WE ARE NOW IN THE SECOND STEP WHERE WE'RE REFINING THE APPLICATION, LOOKING MORE CAREFULLY AT THE ESTIMATES AND GATHERING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR THE PROJECT.
